gita

November 29th is Gita Jayanti Day-the birthday of the Bhagavad Gita. The translation of Bhagavad Gita is “Song of the Lord”. Bhagavad Gita is the Vedic text imparted by Lord Krishna to Arjuna on a battlefield over 5000 years ago. It is revered throughout the world for its power and universality.

The words of the Bhagavad Gita express the essence of the totality of Vedic Knowledge of Self Realization. In 700 verses Lord Krishna totally enlightens Arjuna. He instructs him that the soul is immortal and cannot die or be born. He reveals that the path to success in life is through realizing our inner Self. It is a powerful text that dispels ignorance and delusion and restores our memory that we are Divine in nature.
